Using Houdini and Arnold to create a variety of explosions.

This is some of the FX work I did for the DragonBall Z Saiyan Saga: Webseries Preview.

Created various explosions and destruction for various episode.

These are the ones I can share.
All done using Houdini and Arnold.
The nuclear explosion was very challenging due to it's 600 frames length and the simulation needed to look continuous and realistic for the entire frame range.

Created the river simulation and custom foam and splash solver.
Shading and lighting done using Houdini and Arnold

Helped in the RND and look developpement of the monk trail FX.
Lit and shaded various shots including a cg double monk.

Created a custom grooming system in houdini

Hair rendering done using houdini and arnold.

Various Look done using Arnold and Vray In Maya, Houdini and XSI.

Created the ocean setup.
Created ship wake trails and system to instance them at render time at the location of the ships.
